Advertising on this website
Dancers and parents of ALL bona fide Irish dancing schools may advertise secondhand dancewear and other related accessories without charge on our Secondhand page, and we are also happy to carry announcements or free of charge adverts for 'worthy organisations', providing we have time and webspace. However, please note that we do have limited time for working on this site, and cannot guarantee that free updates will be made within any particular time-frame.
Please note that whilst we don't mind carrying an occasional new or used dress ad for commercial dressmakers, it must be made clear to potential buyers that this is a 'trade' ad, and you might also consider a small donation for the work we put in. If you have a large number of dresses to advertise, please email webmaster@mcgahanlees.com and we can negotiate a suitable deal. After all, we don't ask for free dresses! :o)
Commercial Advertising
We do not want to turn this site into a commercial operation, but we do recognise its popularity and have been approached by businesses about advertising on it. We do carry appropriate adverts for a small fee.
So just how popular is this website?
A couple of obvious questions for any potential advertiser are:
- How popular is the website I am considering
and - more importantly:
- How relevant are the visitors it gets to my business
Each month is slightly different, but we receive an impressive number of hits, all of them focused on Irish dancing -- we do not try to attract unrelated visitors to the site to boost our traffic. As well as the sheer number of hits we get, we have over 2000 registered members, a sizeable mailing list circulation, and best of all nearly 100% of our audience is made up of the Irish dancing community.
