Sawyers Hall College, Sawyers Hall Road, Brentwood CM15 9DA – START 10am
Our Christmas Feis is open to all our Beginner and Primary dancers, including our very new dancers. It is a fun day for all the family where we encourage everyone to compete for trophies, medals and a present from Santa. Each dancer is guaranteed to win a least one medal and receive a present from Santa.
During the day you will also be entertained by our Championship level dancers performing a show for you. Currently we have numerous regional and major Champions, including World Champions, who will be performing routines for you, including a festive dance.
Every dancer will also get the opportunity to dance their Reel for a second time on stage, this time competing for trophies if they attain top 5 places. We also have an award for the most promising dancer.
Food and Drinks will be available throughout the day. We will also have dress hire available at a charge of £10 for the day, on a first come first served basis. Costumes are not necessary, but would encourage the girls and boys to wear the school t-shirts with skirt or shorts, and would ask the girls to curl their hair if possible.
This day is primarily to introduce our dancers to a ‘Feis’ (competition) but over the years it has become our main social event for the dancers, to meet other children from the various areas in which we hold classes and to show their talent off to their families.
Entries need to be in by Wednesday 30th November at the latest, to allow us to buy enough presents for Santa. Please include cheque or cash with your entry, £20.00 per dancer, family fee is £50 maximum. This includes entry for all the family to attend. Cheques are to be made payable to ‘The Friends of McGahan Lees’. All profit will be going towards the cost of travel for our dancers to attend major Feiseanna in 2012.
We will also be celebrating our 15th Anniversary of the McGahan Lees Academy! Please all put the date in your diaries.
